What's new: discreet recording and Telegram

A tour of the newest features: recording links with a discreet screen, PIN-protected capsules, Telegram delivery, received messages and bulk date changes.

The service keeps growing — and the best ideas come from you. Here are the biggest updates of the past months in one place: what's new, how to use it, and who it helps.

Recording links — video without logging in

Create a link or a QR code and anyone can record a video right in the browser; the recording lands in your account and is delivered to whoever and whenever you decided. It saves the day when a recording has to happen fast, from someone else's device, or by a person who struggles with technology: a journalist on assignment, older parents, wedding guests leaving wishes through a QR code on the table.

The discreet recording screen

For the hardest circumstances, links have a discreet mode: during recording the screen shows only a dark clock face — no camera preview, no recording marks. It was built for journalists, human-rights defenders and people in vulnerable situations. An honest caveat: the camera indicator shown by the phone or browser itself cannot be hidden, and this mode should only be used legally and ethically.

PIN protection: only you change your capsules

You can set a 4-digit PIN on a capsule. Without it, no one can edit, cancel or delete the capsule — and during a live recording, no one can continue it: a stranger can at most end the take, and everything recorded up to that moment stays safe. A shared family tablet is no longer a risk: important actions ask for a code only you know.

Telegram delivery

Messages and notifications can now reach recipients on Telegram — where they actually read things. A son abroad who rarely checks email will get his mother's words right where he chats every day. Connecting takes a minute via a personal link from the settings.

The Received cabinet: messages that stay with you

When a capsule is delivered to you, you can save it to your own account — so it never gets lost among emails and texts. Open your mother's or grandfather's video years later, any moment you want to hear a familiar voice.

Bulk delivery-date changes

Life changes plans: a move, a postponed celebration, a new meaningful date. You can now select several capsules at once and give them one new delivery date — a couple of clicks instead of editing each one.

An archive for tidiness

Delivered capsules can be tucked into an archive: your cabinet stays neat and your history stays complete. Bring any capsule back whenever you like.

All of this is free, like the whole service. It lives thanks to the voluntary support of people who believe in the idea. If it resonates with you too, even a small contribution on the Support page helps us keep your words safe and deliver them on time.
